Dating at west point
I was just wondering how I could make us last and how to make it easier on both of us. I’d love to be in your position - personally, it would take me about 1,800 miles of driving at over 25 hours (if I didn’t stop at all, which we know it doesn’t work that way! So my advice, take what the two of you have going for you and what works, and utilize those as your strong/working points!I want to visit her because we're only about 6 hours apart from each other. Best of luck :) linden-caitlin8 asked: So my boyfriend also happens to be my best friend and we didn't really get to say a goodbye at the airport because I wanted him to spend time with his family. While reading this stuff, I actually experienced this strange, fleeting desire to be a male West Point cadet with a girlfriend who reads this site.Temporary insanity induced by overdoses of heteronormativity, patriotism, cutesy flowery background images and bad clip-art, I tell ya.I'm dating a cadet from Ecuador's version of West Point. I've had a hard time dealing with missing him sometimes, and while I do talk to other international couples sometimes, they don't get the military's impact on the relationship (your blog helps with that! I know I can't join the West Point GF Facebook group, but I wondered if there are others you know about that I could. There are girls in the group that could relate because their boyfriends have studied abroad, but the group does screen the members before allowing them to join. You could even ask your boyfriend if any of his friends are dating girls abroad. It may be a long shot, but it’s a way you could try to make connections!
I hope this helps, and good luck :) sweetdisappearance asked: Hi, sorry to be the odd one out but my girlfriend is at BEAST right now and soon will go into her first year. Feel free to browse some previous posts, or ask for new examples/ideas :) Also, for her first year, she won’t be able to get “pass” a lot (leaving campus for the weekend) - only once actually per semester, aside from school breaks, and maybe once again if she gets a “spirit pass.” She can have walking privileges and whatnot if you want to take the 6 hour drive out there on some weekends - I know it’s quite a bit, but consider the fact that it’s closer than SO many other couples! And you definitely can't stay the night, unless you get a hotel nearby. But when you don't need to wear civilian clothes, why bother? That meant a lot of day trips for me, fortunately I lived close enough to do that fairly frequently. (Seriously I was a pain in the butt however James still wanted to marry me, thanks sweetheart! Cadets have multiple uniforms: ACUs (the normal Army uniform), another one for class, India Whites, and 2 Grey uniforms (with a white shirt for spring/summer, one is more formal than the other). However, I'm not dating a cadet from West Point.
